A note from founder Tariq Touré

Salaam and Peace,

Is the pen greater than the sword? Do the words writers like myself etch into the canvas of history weigh more than arms used to conquer nations? I’ll leave that to your opinion in the era of endless opinions.

What I will say is that billions of people’s lives are shaped by language, by words, and by the ink of writers. There is no refuting that. And if not for the scribe, history is left to be told by those who dominate, no matter what abuses they’ve used to gain their strength. If not for the visionary who tries to tries to warn later generations with their wisdom, or set a course for a brighter future, many of us would be lost today.

The sword cuts, the gun shoots, the bomb explodes, but when all the dust has settled I believe the pen clarifies. Clarity is something we can personally and collectively benefit from. I ask you to clarify for yourself and others, your dreams, your purpose, and the world needs you to.

We should celebrate that power. Welcome to a company that does.
